The Feather Awards sends love to our South Korean LGBTI brothers and sisters who celebrated pride this past weekend on the 15th of July.
Though they were sadly protested by several thousand conservative Christians and met with rain the vibe was happy and elated and pride was shown on all fronts.
The Seoul pride saw its numbers jump from an estimated 50,000 last year to this year’s 85,000. This is the Pride’s 17th year and it looks like the numbers are just going to continue growing.
It’s empowering to know that while we are working on our rights here in South Africa, that everywhere around the world people are doing the same. Keep working hard Seoul, here’s to the 100,000 marchers next year!
